Since it’s Madonna’s birthday, we’re sharing another special video to celebrate her 53rd. PAPER’s editor Kim sent us this clip, which is apparently of Madonna Louise’s first live performance ever. Says, Kim, who along with our other editor, David, was extremely plugged into the early ’80s downtown world that birthed pre-English-rose Madge, “This was at Danceteria. She was introduced by our great late friend and downtown nightlife fixture Haoui Montaug at his “No Entiendes” night.” (The “Go on, girl” shouted from the crowd at 1:03 as well as her shorts-and-hat combo are pretty magical, too.)
